YCPs provide care, support, and supervision of youth, with an emphasis on relationship-building, youth engagement and positive role modeling. Responsibilities include provision of needs through meal preparation, medication distribution, housekeeping, maintaining communication through written logs, documentation of pertinent information, engaging youth in meaningful activities, recreation and physical exercise based on common and individual interests, seeking out and promoting opportunity for involvement in community and culturally relevant practices and activities, and delivery of healthy living, emotional regulation & life skills programming, integrated into daily living. Employment requirements include current Child Abuse Registry check, Criminal Record check, First Aid/CPR and valid driver’s license.

Skilled and trained CSWs play an integral role in our Independent Living Program. Responsibilities include supporting participants with daily living needs such as grocery shopping, attending appointments, and tenancy management, providing support to connect youth to health services available to them as adults, promotion of various community-based organizations, resources and government services, assistance and teaching skills such as paying rent, setting up utilities, budgeting, meal planning, and meal preparation, healthy relationships, personal safety and wellness, providing support to address any barriers or challenges youth is experiencing, and effective documentation and information sharing. Employment requirements include current Child Abuse Registry check, Criminal Record check, First Aid/CPR, valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle for work-purposes.
