Skilled and trained CSWs play an integral role in our Independent Living Program. Responsibilities include supporting participants with daily living needs such as grocery shopping, attending appointments, and tenancy management, providing support to connect youth to health services available to them as adults, promotion of various community-based organizations, resources and government services, assistance and teaching skills such as paying rent, setting up utilities, budgeting, meal planning, and meal preparation, healthy relationships, personal safety and wellness, providing support to address any barriers or challenges youth is experiencing, and effective documentation and information sharing. Employment requirements include current Child Abuse Registry check, Criminal Record check, First Aid/CPR, valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle for work-purposes.
